Zachary Matthews
Zach “attack”, as he is affectionately known at home, is a very high energy, compassionate and thought provoking five year old. He loves soccer, Jesus, coins, his Weiner Beagle, “Goliath”, and of course his four year old brother, Noah.
Zach will tell you that his mommy works in a hospital in the city (she is a nurse), and that his daddy drives and ambulance. He will also tell you he mostly likes it when Mommy stays home! He goes to school and proudly identifies himself as a “bus-rider” now.

“Ever since he was an infant we could see that he had a different view of the world.” his parents say. “It was as if the world was his creation to command and direct rather than a place to discover and fit into, As he grew, so did his level og frustration when the world didn’t meld into his preconceived plan. Being our firstborn child we had no reference to know that he had special needs. We thought he was just stubborn or maybe strong-willed. When he turned five and was still having difficulty learning cause and effect, interacting with peers and completing conversations, we became very concerned.”
The Matthew family soon began working with Kati Carbonaro at Siber Imaging. They found that Zach was not processing incoming information the way the rest of us do. He was inhibited by severe ADHD and a processing disorder that creates imbalances in his brainwaves. Through the neuro-feedback exercises these imbalances are slowly returning to a more normal level and Zach is experiencing many behavioral changes as a result.
“It is almost as if we are seeing a flower open up as his frustration slowly dissipates and his true personality is coming out. His art is an outflow and overflow of this new life of expression that he has found now without the encumbrances of his disorder”, say Zach’s parents.
