Sabrina
Sabrina contracted bacterial spinal meningitis when she was 2 years old. She was in a coma for 2 weeks in which she sustained a small frontal lobe stroke which left her with brain scars and deaf in one ear.
Sabrina is 14 years old now and a freshman in high school. She has two types of seizures, a heart condition, and many cognitive disorders. Sabrina had to quit sports and has had a hard time making friends.
Sabrina finds peace in art. She communicates what she can not find words for with her pictures. It is a type of release for Sabrina when she is down or frustrated. Sabrina showers her family with many pictures.
