Aaron had a normal birth and delivery with his parents delighted with their second son. When Aaron was about 4 months old they saw something was different with Aaron than their first born. Aaron was taken to doctors and specialists that diagnosed Aaron with Cerebral Palsy. “Etiology unknown”. In
plain terms, they didn't know what happened. He had normally developed in the womb, had a textbook delivery, and outstanding APGAR scores. Now his prognosis was described as his life living differently. Doctors believed Aaron would be wheel-chair bound, non-verbal and eat baby food the rest of his life.

Sometimes miracles come hidden. Aaron's mom worked with Aaron for him to gain the physical mobility he would need to walk. Shortly after his second birthday, indeed, walk he did! Soon after he developed seizure activity and lost his mobility again. The set back didn't last long for the determined boy. Once his seizures were controlled, he worked very hard to walk again. He is 12 years old now, and can walk with the aid of a leg brace. He may occassionally have a seizure. He is nonverbal, but usually his mom knows what he wants by him pointing and vocalizing. If Aaron cannot be understood, he will draw a picture of what he is thinking about. Aaron lives at home with his 3 brothers, Mom and Dad. His favorite food is macaroni
and cheese. He loves going to school and his favorite subjects are music and art. His teachers say that he can be stubborn sometimes, but we see this behavior as a strength that allowed him get to where he is today.

Aaron's life is truly a testimony of how you can allow your life to be drawn for you or you choose to draw it yourself.
