Kaitlyn Olson
Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Olson. I am from Woodbridge, Virginia. When I was born I was a healthy baby. At an early age I could not walk very well, I had weak motor skills and poor eye sight. I went to a special school to help me. The school taught me in a different way than a regular school. All through elementary and middle school I was in Special Ed classes.

I began loving art in Kindergarten. Art classes were my favorite. Art is a way to express myself. My parents found a Special Ed school in upstate New York - Maplebrook School. Maplebrook taught me how to overcome my differences and to believe in myself. I never quit art at
Maplebrook, and sometimes in study hall I drew instead of reading a book. By coloring and drawing I was relaxed and calm. My hobbies are horseback riding, swimming, art and playing with my dogs Lucy and Charlie.
