Jamie Howard
Jamie is one of the "Original Artists" who made paintings for the Angel Boy Art, Inc. Original Collection. He was born somewhat premature and is now 7 years old. Similar to his older brother Eric, he has struggled for many years with developmental delays and speech/language issues. Jamie was nearly four years old before he could say more than three words. He has made great gains since then, but still receives some speech therapy in school.
Unlike his brother Eric, Jamie still does not have a formal diagnosis. He has some slow-growth issues and anxiety issues that his brother does not have. Like his brother Eric, though, Jamie loves to draw pictures. Pictures were a great tool for helping him learn to say the words for various common items, and drawing helped him bridge the gaps in his language skills. After learning to write in first grade, Jamie has tried hard to follow his older brother in writing and illustrating stories. Jamie also has a fantastic imagination and the two boys together make quite a pair!
Currently, pencil and crayon on plain white paper is Jamie's art medium of choice, but his parents hope to get into some other mediums such as paint. Their names are Eric and Julian.
