Cole VanFleeren
Cole was born June 11, 2006. He seemed to be a normal, healthy child until July of 2008. Then, one day, his dad and I were playing with him and all of a sudden his eyes rolled back in his head and his body jerked - then collapsed. Cole did this seven times.
In September of 2008, EEG's showed irregular brain waves and MRI's showed Cole had Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (ACC). This means he is missing the part of the brain that connects the right and left hemispheres.
In 2008 we learned Cole's collapsing was due to Epileptic Spasms (ES), which are linked to Cole having ACC. Cole takes three medications daily.
The end result is Cole has a 5-15 word vocabulary, he falls down a lot and has many other developmental delays. Cole likes to color, though sometimes he prefers to eat the crayons. He a a little artist from
